LOBO BJJ Student Wins European BJJ Title at IBJJF European Masters
LOBO BJJ in Barrow-in-Furness is proud to announce a major achievement: student Mike Backhouse has won the Blue Belt division at the IBJJF European Masters, becoming a European Champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
LOBO BJJ Shines at International BJJ Competition
Head coach Mike Reay and three LOBO BJJ students traveled to Barcelona to compete at the prestigious IBJJF European Masters tournament. This annual event attracts top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes from across the globe, all aiming to win one of the sport’s most respected titles.
- Mike Backhouse competed in the Blue Belt Master 3 division, facing 16 skilled opponents. After a series of tough matches, Mike’s dedication and technical skill earned him the gold medal and the title of European Champion.
- Adam Haines, competing as a Brown Belt in the Master 2 division, brought home a bronze medal.
- Mike Wilson also earned bronze in the Master 3 White Belt division.
